Nanoparticles for catalYTIC FILMS

The unique method of nanoparticle generation, lends itself perfectly to catalytic applications. This is due to several properties of the particles/films created;

  • Due to the nature of nanoparticles, the surface area of any film produced has a far higher surface area and can therefore be up to 100 times more reactive.
  • The highly reactive nature of the particles also allows for lower mass loading, and can be over 4 times less than than the best commercial catalysis
  • Due to this reduction in mass loading,  the material consumption is vastly reduced, which is particularly useful when considering rare earth metals.
  • The NanoStreamV, 5 head source, enables the creation of high-entropy-alloy nanoparticles and by using this method, you can employ a combination of lower cost materials to mimic the properties of noble metals.
